Therapy at Common Thread Counseling

What types of therapy do you offer?

We specialize in trauma-focused modalities such as Brainspotting, EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. These evidence-based approaches address trauma stored in the mind and body, offering profound and lasting healing.

Our therapies are effective for a range of challenges, including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and emotional dysregulation. They also support personal growth and help clients overcome performance blocks.

Our therapy modalities focus on the mind-body connection, using techniques that directly engage the nervous system. This allows us to address trauma at its core, often leading to faster and more transformative results than traditional talk therapy.

Your first session will focus on understanding your history, goals, and current challenges. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs and therapeutic goals.

Payment & Insurance Options

How does Mentaya help with payments?

Mentaya allows clients to pay only their co-insurance upfront or receive faster reimbursements for out-of-network therapy sessions. It simplifies the claims process and helps clients save up to 70% on session fees.

If you prefer to handle insurance claims yourself, we’re happy to provide a superbill, which contains all the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance provider. Please note: We do not allow reimbursements through superbills for those who have Tricare, Medicaid or Medicare, due to the federal billing laws.

We require at least 24-hour notice for cancellations. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee.
